| - I just needed service from the Earnhardt Jeep dealership in Gilbert AZ The Rude service guy would not help me out, he just tells me "it starts for me" I guess the tow ride reconnected the short and he don't believe me. I don't get the thinking sending me away with a broken vehicle. They are all a bunch of stuffed shirts at Earnhardt's and not friendly at all. I would just image the sales department.
I have had this problem from about the day I bought it used the MFG warranty has expired. I take it the same reason the person sold it to me.
It's a 2008 Limited Jeep Liberty Love the thing when it starts. My problem must be a short in the wiring. I had been taking it to another shop that could not find the problem either. They suggested for me to go to the dealer, but first they replaced the starter after four times that I took it to them. I replaced the battery $163 and had to have it towed twice, most of the time it starts. I would say about 85% other times you have to keep turning the key 3-10 times, I get a click and a small turn of the starter and eventually it may start.
I keep trying to tell the service guy at Earnhardt Jeep and he just kept blowing me off, "well we could throw parts at it" he said. Well Yeah, better than nothing, now it just sits in front of the house, can't drive it in fear of getting stranded.
The starting system in all cars is very simple except replacing the wire, but cable and 3 components are easy two of them I already replaced. But he would not even listen. I don't understand a company that is turning away money, so it leaves me no choice but to sell it, so be aware of purchasing a 2008 Jeep Liberty it may not start all the time.
