| - I truly love YYZ airport. The recent renovations have make it even more comfortable. I usually park at Viscount however you can keep your eyes open for online specials to park right at the terminal for the same price. Viscount offers a free train to the terminals (1 and 3) and the shuttle service is quite regular. Even when the trains aren't running, you can get a bus to shuttle you over quickly.
Terminal 1 - the "Air Canada" terminal. This is the terminal that only Air Canada and it's partner airlines use. It can be a little overwhelming to some, but it is actually quite easy to navigate. The check in counters are labelled and as long as you leave yourself enough time, you will check in with no problems. Hint: check in online to make it quicker. Once you are through the check in and go to the gate area, you will find plenty of shopping and food options. Most places have "food for the plane" options and you can buy a little combo meal to take with you. For those that are not in a rush, there are sit-down restaurants with fast service most of the time.
Terminal 3 - is a bit older but is undergoing major renos to make it better. With the recent renos, the gate area is much like Terminal 1 with plenty of food options, iPads to use, and tables with charging stations. It's quite comfy. The check in area is a bit more chaotic. There are no clear signs inside to let you know where to find your airline. It says USA one way and International another way but nowhere for domestic flights within Canada. I walked clear across the entire terminal before I could find the domestic check in for WestJet - which is over towards the USA check in for anyone else wondering.
The arrival areas are pretty much the same in both places. Signage is clear as to where to find ground transportation, hotels, taxis, shuttles, etc. The hallways are spacious, and waiting area is quite large.
It is my favourite airport because I feel so at home there. The free wifi is a huge plus also.
