  • I join my friend at this gym because he has a guest pass so I can go accompany him for free. I've been going there on and off for the past 5 months and it's been pretty smooth till the past couple weeks. They changed their guest pass policy that made it so you need a scan tag to be allowed to work out with your buddy but you have to get the guest tag anywhere from 9 am to 12 pm. This posed a problem with my schedule because it is very hard to come in between those hours due to my work schedule. We attempted to sign up once when there was a nice guy named Blake but he was tied up with a client and we had to come back. Then today we were told if we don't get the scan card for the guest pass they would refuse to let me join my friend on my next visit. So we returned later before 9. We got helped out by a tall white surfer looking guy with long hair. He was a real jerk. He tried to upsell me to get a membership by trying to get at my ego so I can pay for a membership when all I needed was a guest pass. He made some backhanded comments/questions for example, "so you like to mooch off your friends", "do you have a job", and "do you drive a car". Who the f#$k asks those types of questions when signing up someone for a simple guest pass!? I got tired of his remarks and had to make it clear after these questions that I was not interested in a membership and needed just a guest pass to join my buddy when we work out in the mornings. Then 5 minutes later I got my card with out any more delay. Thanks for my guest pass but you don't have to make it a hard process.
