I have always loved the vibe of this place. I miss the old outdoor malls and shopping centers and this place has preserved that despite the Arizona heat. Although it's not the best shopping choice during the triple digits of summer, it is an extremely pleasant and enjoyable place to visit during the cooler months of the years. It is lushly landscaped with shady greenery and colorful flowers and plants along with an occasional refreshing water feature or trickling fountain. The architecture has become a sort of hybrid between mid Century and contemporary. There are plenty of upscale and high end retail offerings along with a couple of department store anchors like Macy's and Sak's. There's a reasonable amount of (covered) parking and a fair number of respectable eateries like The Cheesecake Factory and California Pizza Kitchen. This a fun place to sit and people watch especially on a weekday when you can spot many business men and women on their lunch hour or getting in some quick shopping in between work hours.
