  • This gym is terrible!!! It is the worst Mountainside Fitness in the entire valley. It is definitely not worth the money - it is dark inside, small, cramped, and the machines are very old other than the cardio equipment. It just feels musty inside. You are much better off for your money joining LA fitness..... We have been very happy loyal customers there for almost 10 years. We joined the Mountainside fitness gym in Mesa for less than one week when we found out that we would not be moving to the area and had signed up for an 18 month contract and already paid the first and last month. When we called and spoke to the gym manager Mike and the corporate membership office we were told that unfortunately they did not care and we would need to pay 25% of the remaining months dues in order to cancel. I was very surprised by this response considering they are already getting free dues by the one time we worked out since we will never be back. It is our fault for not trying the gym first but the service here is absolutely terrible and they do not value their members at all. My only recommendation would be to try it before you buy it or you will very disappointed.
