I have been taking my two cats here for over a year. Although the experience was never anything other than average (extremely long wait times even when I always show up on time or early for the appointments) I have continued to frequent this Vet due to close location to home and work. When taking my kitten to get neutered a couple of weeks ago I was told I should leave him at the clinic for the day until I got home from work instead of leaving him at my home unsupervised. They assured me they would care for him at the clinic for the entire day. When I picked up my kitten at the end of the work day I was told there had been an "incident"- he had woke up very energetically from the anesthesia and was "affectionately rubbing his head on his cage for attention". They told me that they quickly removed him and placed him in a softer cage and cleaned him up. When they brought the kitten out so I could take him home I saw that he had a 3 inch gash on his forehead (see profile picture and posted photo). The fur and skin in this area was completely rubbed off. His entire face was swollen and his eyes could barely open due to inflammation. It was clear that he must have been violently rubbing his head against the cage for attention FOR HOURS before anyone cared to notice what the poor guy was doing to himself. The vet tech offered no apologies and simply blamed the issue on the cat. Needless to say I will not be taking my animals back to this clinic.
