As my time at MCC draws to a close I can't help but be thankful that I'm getting out of here alive. There are so many problems with this college it's tough to know where to begin. The past two semesters I have been dropped from all classes due to non payment even though I have pending financial aid and after repeat assurance that I would not be dropped. It's not just happening to me but to hundreds of other students as well. It's a glitch that they just can't seem to fix. Annoying and frustrating. There is a serious lack of academic advisors and if you go to see one you're looking at a two hour long wait. Trying to talk to financial aid is a whole other beast. Nothing they say is consistent and I believe they just say the things they think I want to hear just so that I'll go away. It's a sad way to treat people who are seeking an education. There is a serious lack of women's studies courses and the few that are here are only online. I'd like the option to take some of those in class since they are more conducive for discussions and networking. Just take this all in, do your research and always get a second opinion. Never take what anyone says here at face value. Stick to your studies and be on top of everything and you'll survive too. Best of luck!
