| - Ok I pass by this place all the time and have wanted to try it out. So finally I did. The outside of the restaurant looks like it will be a fine dining establishment. The inside ambiance feels more like a middle of the road buffet. Cafeterias like chairs, no salt, pepper or sugar on the tables.
I ordered the happy family seafood dinner and egg drop soup. It came fairly fast. The soup while good, needed salt...but no salt on the table. The happy family seafood meal was tasty and had large scallops, medium shrimp and Krab (imitation crab meat). It would have been better without the Krab meat. It was hot, plenary was there, however the rice portion should have been a larger portion, as it was there was only enough for half the meal. I ordered iced tea, they asked plain or sweet, since I could see there wasn't any sugar on the table I ordered it sweet. It was ghastly, some fruity semi sweet slightly sour tea. I would have appreciated it better if they had told me it was going to be flavored tea. Personally I think it may have been sitting there all day because of the sour flavor.
The price for this meal, too high in my opinion. With tip it was about $24. For that much I would at least expect fresh tea and salt sugar and pepper on the table. Go figure. Would I go again?... perhaps. I'd like to try their Pho. And maybe 1 other dish to give them a second try.
The people were friendly and somewhat attentive.
