| - EXCELLENT Exhibit! I was disappointed to see the number of people who seemed to "run through"...There is TONS of information about the people, the ship, the events leading to Titanic's fate, and the extradition of the artifacts. The walls are covered in quotes and stories or brief passenger bios. In addition, for a few dollars more, you can get an Audio assist -- ironically, it is really not as much "assistance" as it is additional information. I was shown how to access both the adult and children's recordings - and though I was by myself for this visit, I made the choice to listen to both, as they provided slightly different info from one another - and slightly different info from the walls. I was blown away by how well organized this exhibit is. From the entrance to the exit, you are learning about Titanic in nearly a timeline format of the events. You are shown the differences of the classes of passenger accommodations, and learn how many people were travelling on Titanic in class accommodations that were different from accommodations they may have experienced on other ships at the time. I don't think people realize how many passengers had been displaced on other ships by a coal strike, and placed on the Titanic to be able to get where they needed to go! The one very important tip I learned the hard way: Bring a sweater or jacket. This may be Las Vegas, and the temps outside may get H-O-T, but the one thing this exhibit does well is to provide the visitor with the EXPERIENCE of being on the Titanic. You walk the deck in the cool night air, you even get to TOUCH a mock-iceberg! Yes, there is a room in the exhibit which contains a HUGE, Shaped iceberg -- and in order for it to not melt, the temps have got to be darn cold! If you actually take the time to read every space on the walls and note card on the artifacts, and listed to the audio tour, you can expect to spend 2 hours "on the Titanic"...Look for discount tickets if you can, though even at full price, this was an AMAZING tour! The Audio headset costs an additional $5 (tip: a family can share one or two of these, but you need to hold it to your ear to hear the recordings) and there is a photo opportunity on the Grand Staircase - no purchase required if you don't like the pictures, but the cost is $20 for the first picture and $10 for each additional picture purchased. There is no charge to pose on the staircase and the pictures are picked up in the Gift Shop at the end. This is a great tour for students, families, or anyone fascinated with the legacy of Titanic.
