I'm going to give this shop one more go before the next rating. My service engine soon light came on and since my truck is obdI I used what the manual says to use to extract the code. My simple issue was throttle position sensor voltage low even after a new tps and connector the same code shows. I explained my problem and said that the sensor may have to be adjusted. He tells me that it can't. It can because I've done it before on a different truck. The guy up front after it was all over said I needed a new computer and they could get it for around $600 since their equipment would not communicate with my truck. It's possible my computer IS bad so I bought one online later and installed it just in case. On the service order they didn't even check the voltage which is the first thing you do. They tightened the iac and called it a day. My next visit will go like this, "Check the voltage for the tps using the manual I'm leaving in the truck for reference. Loosen the bolts and turn the tps until you get 5V." I really need to pass emissions because it's due. One more chance. He was nice though!
