rev:text	My husband had a successful liver transplant at UCLA on 12/12/12, and 9 months later we found out he had hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) in his lungs, 20 nodules. UCLA wanted him to take Nexavar, that proved to do nothing but multiply the nodules (he had 30 Oct 2013). UCLA said he was in Stage 4 and to get his affairs in order because he only had a year to live. We couldn't buy it, here he was after the battle he fought standing strong with only a year to live? So he called CTCA. It was CTCA's Tulsa location that has the specialist we needed, Dr Jag and his team said "throw that Nexavar away, I'll cure you". The chemo (which mind you UCLA said chemo wouldn't help him) is called Folfox 6, normally used to treat colon, stomach and some breast cancers). Side affects minimal, 6 50 hour treatments every other week. We just had scans done at UCLA, hand carried the disc and report to Tulsa CTCA.....the cancer is 90% gone!!! Only 3 more treatments left! I love this place. Sure it's not a 5 star hotel, but the rooms are hotel-like, the other side of the building is the hospital. All of the staff are top notch. Food is pretty good in the cafeteria and the prices are great. We are only charged $40 a night to stay for the 50 hour treatment. He was also able to see an acupuncturist, dieticians, the chaplain, you name it, it is there for both of us. I thank God for this place. And you know the commercials for CTCA featuring a gentleman by the name of Boyd who had melanoma? We met him and his wife, and they are now friends. This place fills you up with hope, knowledge, and a cure!! They have told us that they take insurance payments as payments in full, we don't care....just as long as they save my husband's life. And that they are!!!
