  • I guess if six stars were permissible, my review would join all the other 5 star reviews. Everyone raves about Nathan's customer service, it is well earned. My wife, Nanette, and I dropped by Tortoise and Hare after reading a great review on Altra athletic shoes in the Wall Street Journal. Great feature on Altra so we had to check it out. Nathan gave my wife more attention than her podiatrist...he knew more than her podiatrist !! She was fitted into what she describes as the most comfortable shoes she has ever worn and they gave her feet the kind of support she really has looked for. As for me, well, I don't have foot problems, thank God, but I just couldn't pass up the chance to try the Altra athletic shoes. Try I did, excellent, unique and best of all, thanks to Nathan, superbly fitted. This store is the absolute best customer service my wife and I have ever received and that includes some really nice stores across the country. If you are looking for the most up to date technologically great athletic shoes, go to Tortoise and Hare Sports. By the way, the other customer service personnel in the store were also extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful...I think customer service is the hallmark of this store and what they sell is the product of their expertise.
