  • I really think people should come to The Fremont Street Experience. Every time I come to Vegas I come here. It's old Vegas, it's the Vegas I remember the first time I came. It's the Vegas of neon lights and millions of light bulbs. The days before the huge outdoor video signs. Part of the original allure of Las Vegas. It's historical Vegas and every year another piece of old Vegas seems to disappear. I actually came to watch the Stardust implode. It's was kinda sad to watch, I have a lot of memories of that casino as I do the Dunes, Sands, Castaway, Desert Rose, El Rancho, San Reno, Boardwalk, Klondike, Vegas World, Slots a Fun, and I could name a bunch more I have seen come and go. I am amazed at how many people that have been to Vegas have never even heard of many of the famous casinos I just mentioned as well as how many people have never gone any where but the newer strip when there are some many things to do and see in the area. Thank God somebody had the insight to keep at least a part of the old Vegas alive. I think Circus Circus may be the next to go. I hope not because it's a great one for the kids. Don't get me wrong I love the Newer Vegas. But this is neat to see and they have made this part of Vegas fun, many outdoor bars with great prices, one of the best buffets in Vegas, the people and acts are another part of the allure here. At night the amazing "Experience" light and video show all you have to do is look up any where you go. Music and loud speakers all over. I recommend to take this walk back to the Vegas of old and visit here. Also, it's a place where many of the casinos still have a lot of $5 table games. Just because it's older, doesn't mean it's run down its not. They have done a great job of upkeep. We visited several of the hotels and casinos up and down Fremont Street. Room prices are very reasonable the casinos are smaller and not as glamorous as the ones on the "strip" but, the are very nice, almost all had lower minimum $5 bet tables for all the different type of table games. There's a lot to see and do.
