Birthday celebrations brought me here for the first time. The food was quite good: I had jambalaya, which didn't skimp on the seafood content, even if the portion left me a little hungry. Others had New York steak, the tilapia burger and regular burgers. All were very good. The crème brûlée for dessert was a disappointment though - very runny sweet, although it's an easy dessert to get right. Prices were around $20 for a main dish, and desserts $6-8.
The jazz however was excellent, as were the cocktails. We sampled a number of them, and they just kept getting better!
The service was friendly and helpful, and the decor corresponded to what you'd expect a jazz bar/club to be while being practical for dining.
I'll be back to try other acts. This is the sort of reasonably priced yet sophisticated outing we'd expect more of in Montreal.
