| - I stumbled on Stylettoz this afternoon... and I do mean stumbled. They just opened yesterday, and this cute little boutique has fun written all over it. I wandered in after stopping at the shop next door. I was greeted with a glass of wine, and great conversation. It turns out that the owner recognized me from a place that she had worked before... even though I had only stopped there once. I admit, we did have a conversation that day and I remembered her too, but I would never have recognized her if she had not stopped me and told me where she knew me from! The place is adorable! They carry funky fresh brands combined with handmade fashion by local artists in a family run shop. You couldn't ask for more personal service.
The owners, Tom and Carolyn Murray live in the area, and now they have their own shop in the area. Their goal is to support local artists and designers by providing a venue for handcrafted fashion as well as providing interesting fun commercially produced fashions.
Carolyn, Tom and their family put the whole shop together with their own hands. They found a lot of their furniture and fixtures in local resale, antique and thrift shops. They hand finished their own walls.... they did it all. One of their daughters creates great hats using airbrush and hand stitched designs. A friend stopped in while I was there with her hand made jewelery...
The things that caught my attention were Victoria Beckham jeans, great skull and cross bone tank tops in pink and black with metal, a gold slinky matte sequin dress, and a good assortment of fluttery, slinky head turning tops.
Let's go shopping!
