This was the second time I was at this facility. The first was a gel manicure and the second was a polish change. When the gentleman pulled out the file it appeared previously used but I didn't think much of it until the skin right below my nails was nicked due to aggressive filing on three of my fingers. I read up on regulations regarding files via the Ohio board of cosmetology and it clearly states that porous items including files and buffers must be thrown out after use. A single file like the one used is $.99 at Ulta. I am disgusted that a business is risking the health of their clients over a product that costs less than a dollar. The real frustration is that the place appears clean and you see the employees washing their hands etc but I guess that is only to protect themselves. Yes as others have said they do good work but I certainly am not risking my health again at this facility.
