  • Quick caveat: 4 stars ONLY because it's a great field. Good seats, nice building. But there needs to be some fundamental changes in selecting referees. Management needs to introduce mandatory eye checks. Cannot trust the refs' integrity. A clear goal and they don't acknowledge it? What? If I'm a plumber and I don't fix a pipe that's clearly broken, should I be doing what I'm doing? The answer is a crystalline-clear NO. My friends, my FAMILY, suffered because of the ref's inability to do his job. A goal is a goal...plain and simple. A message to the ref-selectors: You need to 1) mandate eye-checks; 20/20 minimum, 2) install cameras as a contingency check, 3) provide reparations for this absurdity. REFS NEED WORK. Won't name names, but I hope to never see the blind eyes of the ref I witnessed today ever again unless it's in remedial referee school.
