| - Update 12/20/16- After my daughter's awesome haircut, my youngest asked if he could finally cut his long hair. Although we already cut much of it, he was still being picked on at school about it still being long and looking like a girl. So I made an appointment with Mark. We showed Mark some pics and the end result was really great. Check out my sons before and after picture. Quite a transformation!

Update 12/3/16- Took my daughter for her first ever professional salon cut. She wanted to cut her very beautiful long hair and I needed to go back and get a pixie cut since growing it out was not working for me. So two appointments- mine with Hanah and hers with Mark. By the time they finished with us, we looked like different people. My daughter loves her cut and so do I. Like I said before, I have seen every person walk in and walk out looking like a Hollywood star. This salon is truly a gem in Charlotte.

Just needed a haircut without spending 2+ hours for the whole process. Decided to make an appointment here based on the rave reviews on Yelp.
Made my appointment online, which was easy, but also had the option to call if I wanted. That is not an option at the other salon I have been visiting for a year and a half.
Hanah was my stylist. Showed her a few pics of what I am trying to do with what was once a pixie cut. I am in the "awkward" stage growing it out. Hanah listened and assured me she would only cut and style what was necessary to help it take shape as it keeps growing out. The end result was great. I was satisfied and happy with her work. She is also wonderful to talk with.
The salon is bright, open, spacious, with a very homey welcoming atmosphere. There is a reception area with comfortable seating in front of it. A Keurig machine with coffee varieties available for guests, as well as a center table with magazines. Products on shelves seem to be organic brands...no one pushed any products on me when I went to pay.
Everyone is down to earth and eager to ensure you have a great visit. I had to hang around after my haircut for about two hours since my husband was held up at his doctor appointment. I was able to work using their wi-fi, but also see how seamless they run this salon. I was constantly asked if I needed anything, which made me feel I was not a bother hanging around so long.
Overall, the staff and stylists are really great and everyone who had their hair done here were walking out looking fabulous. Prices are a few dollars more than the other high-end salon I visit, but that may be due to the organic hair products used at Therapy, which are better for your hair, especially for those who get coloring and highlights.
FYI- You should know that going forward there will be a $2.00 environmental stewardship fee added to your visit at Therapy Hair Salon and Spa. It is for a green initiative, Green Circle Salons, a special recycling/repurposing program that ensures hair, foils, color tubes, plastics, papers, and chemicals are diverted out of our community's landfills and water systems.
