  • I dropped in here to experience a class (I regularly Crossfit at another location). But I need variety in my diet...so voila... i dropped in. I had emailed back and forth with Aaron (who was very responsive and explained what makes CLE different than other Crossfit boxes in the area) to set up a convenient class time for me to join. I attended a Wednesday late afternoon class. Nice mix of super athletes and everyday folk. In true Crossfit community style, Adam and Josh instantly made me feel welcome by putting my name on the wipe board and introducing me to everyone there. The facilities are bigger and more equipped then other boxes in the area. They have 10 rowers and 10 GHD machines and plenty of equipment. You dont have to sign up for class times because they have ample space and enough equipment. They also makes Dr. Erik Peters available on Tuesday (he is a chiropractor who is a runner and Crossfitter). And the hits keep coming...they also partner with Paleo to Me for food deliveries. This box seems to attract a 30s crowd with a bit more maturity, which I liked. Plus, a few coaches have been through numerous injuries and can provide insightful coaching when need be. Great experience. Great community. CLE is located on the corner of Superior and E 22nd. St. Most of the metered parking is a 1 hour limit, so unless you are lucky to get a spot around the corner where there is no time limit, I imagine parking can be a challenge. But who cares? I will either run or ride my bike there. The *only* thing I didn't see here...camaraderie. I'm used to seeing people gather around the last few people completing the WOD to cheer them on and encourage them to get through it. Maybe they don't do that here?! I will have to check out another WOD time and see...but this is a HUGE part of the Crossfit community and an aspect that would be a total miss if they don't have it.
