| - My experience is based solely on the walk-up counter, I did not dine in.
Had to be down on the strip to fill out some tax paperwork, and thought I'd visit some former co-workers at the restaurant I used to work at next door to this establishment. After I left, I thought I'd grab something quick and easy, and relatively cheap, so I chose Slice of Vegas.
PROS:
-The young lady working the counter was extremely warm and friendly, and even complimented my makeup.
- Considering it's on the strip inside a nice resort (Mandalay Bay), it was only $4.50 for a HUGE slice of pizza. Pretty good value in my book.
CONS: THE FOOD. I now see WHY it's a good value.. I ordered a slice of cheese pizza (no drink) which came out quick and hot. I am not some super-duper health freak; I've had pizza before that had some grease on top (Chuck E. Cheese comes to mind..) and I'm totally ok with it and i eat it.. HOWEVER, there was SO much grease, it took 2 napkins just to get MOST of it off. There was barely any cheese and the sauce tasted funky. It was burnt underneath, and the crust was so hard I could barely bite into it. Even after my attempt to drown it in parmesan cheese, it still was.. well.... disgusting. I can count on one hand in my entire life the times I found a pizza inedible, and this was one of those times. I choked down as much as I could because I was starving, but I would NEVER recommend this place for the pizza.
