$16 to dry clean a short sun dress?? Really??
I had three items: Two sun dresses and one skirt. One sundress was randomly $16 by itself. The bill was $30! Is that a joke? I'm completely aware that I'm having a cheap old lady moment right now, but anywhere I've ever taken my dry cleaning, it's been between $4-$8 per piece depending on what it is. I didn't even think to ask beforehand how much it would cost because who would ever think one piece would be over $10? Especially a plain, short sundress that I bought for $8! The skirt I had cleaned was way fancier and only cost like, $6...where is the reasoning here??
There's no price list in the store or online. And the girl behind the counter was very nice but had no explanation for why it was so expensive, just, "that's just our price." And like I said, this was not a fancy dress. Just a bargain basement sundress I would have hand washed myself, had I known I was going to have to take out a second mortgage to pay the dry cleaning bill.
$16 for one simple dress (no stains) is completely outrageous. I'll take my clothes to Fany's down the street from now on.
