  • I didn't stay here so am writing this review only for my experience visiting the hotel. I read a few reviews from people who stayed at the hotel that were not favorable and that is disappointing....I love the old world elegance of this hotel that has stayed true to the test of time. The home of the showgirls. The gardens or habitat as they refer to it was upkept wonderfully well and we were lucky enough to have an opportunity to see the feeding of the resident pelicans Bugsy and Virgina named after the former owners of the casino. In addition to the pelicans who are both rescue pelicans the Flamingo features many (you guessed it) flamingos and also a respectable Koi pond. This was definitely a nice oasis to take respite in while walking on the strip. We went once during the day and another time at night. They had some cute shops with friendly personnel.
