  • I'm a huge fan of spicy Chinese food so my expectations are always really high when I eat a Chinese restaurants. I've been here twice now and both times I've been super pleased with their food. Other Chinese restaurants in Pittsburgh just can't compare with How Lee's balance of spice and flavor. The first time, I had their spicy beef tripe, spicy cold noodles, and spicy fish fillet. All three dishes met my expectations and I even took the fish fillet sauce home for my own food. The second time, I had their spicy green bean jelly, extra spicy fish chili pot (see a pattern?), and flat rice noodles to balance out the taste (and to give my girlfriend a break from all of the spice). In between the first and second time, I tried my hand at other Pittsburgh Chinese restaurants and was never fully satisfied each time. How Lee is a game changer, and I am confident that I won't have to worry too much if I order from their dedicated Sichuan menu.
