  • This was park number 11 for us, and one of my fiance's favorite parks. My fiance decided right before the season start we were going to make it to PNC. It had been on his 'hit next' list for a while and he had been itching to go. Before the season started, I got us tickets behind home plate and set the plans in motion to go. I had been obsessively checking the weather before we went, worried about driving 8 hours only to be rained out. The entire drive there, my fiance kept telling me we were going to get rained out. Obviously, I was not pleased and told him to stop being so negative. Day of game, it's looking pretty gloomy and the weather report is not looking to good. No! Well, we ended to the park anyway. The view is really pretty, love seeing the bridges in the background, very picturesque. The park is really nice. The staff are ridiculously nice. One woman told me she liked me name and my accent. What accent? But whatever, she was nice. Our seats (which were pretty inexpensive compared to new york) were awesome, and I LOVED that they had staff wiping them down before you sat (take note nationals park!). Unfortunately, because it was raining, we didn't really get to enjoy them. However, we were able to sit a couple of rows back in empty seats, out of the rain and no one gave us a hard time. I was surprised that even though it was raining, and rained steadily throughout the whole game, that the stadium was pretty full. Looked close to sold out. It's april! And raining! Can't even imagine later in the season, when it wasn't raining. Good thing we bought tickets before we went. I was also surprised that the game didn't have a rain delay, or even a rain check, and they just powered through and played nine innings. Never would have happened at a yankee game, or even a met game. Enjoyed the park very much, despite the rain. We will be heading back there as soon as we can! I do wish they would display their mickey from the 2010 all star game though. Please!
