| - I genuinely do not know how people can purchase groceries anywhere else. You either A) go to Smiths/Von's/Albertson's and pay way too much and have crappy produce options, B) pay an arm and a leg at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods for "organic" stuff, or C) starve. That's a little dramatic, but seriously, if you don't shop at Winco regularly, you're missing out!
They pretty much have everything, and a pretty good selection of produce, which is definitely lacking in most Vegas grocery stores in my opinion. The store is always clean, even when it is FULL of people, which says a lot. I generally avoid going there on Sundays because it can be really crowded, but even on the worst days, it is still tolerable (never anything like Costco crowds).
The bulk spice/food section in the back of the store is a must visit. A great way to save on spices and baking materials that you go through a lot of in a short amount of time!
The staff are always really helpful and friendly, especially the check-out folks. You do have to bag your own groceries, but that is part of their cost-saving strategy, so I don't really complain too much about that. Besides, this way you can only blame yourself if your chips or bread get crushed!
