| - Great Gateway Into Canada!
SITREP
YYC is probably one of the most modern airports I've been in. At least to the airports I'm used: SMF (Sacramento); SEATAC (Seattle); FLL (Ft. Lauderdale); SAN (is this San Diego or San Antonio? I can never remember, but for THIS example, PRETEND BOTH), etc. - and I am MUCH more impressed the airport metrics here.
THE SETUP
Things I LOVED:
* The nice layout of gates (at least on the International side)
* The quick trip through Customs
* The hyper clean and ample restroom space
* The plethora of shops, restaurants and coffee stops
* The Very rational arrangement of rental agencies in centralized parking garage structure
* The sweet little ladies in cowgirl hats, just WAITING to take you to your door-destination!
* The gorgeous art, the beautiful decor, and the great seasonal decorations all throughout the airport.
Things I have to admit weren't great, but weren't THAT much of a problem:
* DAM! This airports HUUUUGE! When one of those lil ladies sidled up to me with your motorized cart and asked, "Young man? Would you like a ride?", dam my pride - I just said, "*huff* No no, *pant*, I'm doing okay! I need the workout... *wheeeeeeeeeeeze*. I'm going on a hike tomorrow. *face wince*. :D
THE LOWDOWN
YCC, I'd love to just plop you down in place of my hometown airport, but that's just me (I can be seduced easily)... ;)
