rev:text	Entertaining guests from out of town and made reservations via Open Table. We arrived right on time and I spoke to the hostess. She wasn't rude but just not very welcoming or friendly. She started to take us to our table inside but it wasn't set for 5, so we had to go back to the desk to wait a moment. In the meantime, I asked if we could eat outside instead; she checked and led us to the patio. This was perfect for a mild Scottsdale evening. After that, things went better. Our waiter was personable, knowledgable, helpful with the menu. We had cocktails, then dinner -- the men had an off-menu special, 7 oz filet wrapped in prosciutto. Both loved their choices. Ladies had sea bass, cioppino, and salmon all from the regular menu. Everyone enjoyed their selections very much. At one point during the evening, Eddie stopped by the table next to us and chatted up the large family there. He's so personable and I thought it would be fun for my guests to meet the restaurant's namesake. Well, Eddie walked off without a glance toward our table. Not rude, just unaware. I was pretty surprised and kind of disappointed. We finished with shared desserts -- flourless chocolate cake and creme brûlée. They were both ok but nothing to write home about. Their brûlée is really loose and comes in a tiny phyllo cup. We should have skipped dessert. The highlight of the evening was really the lovely patio with soft lights and the perfect spring evening air. Good restaurant but not great.
