So, the Checkers practice and train here, and even played some playoff games when Bob Johnson's daughter's horse jumping show took over the uptown arena. They still play some pre-season games here and did that yesterday and today.
The facility is only a few years old and has two NHL regulation size rinks, plus a very small one called The Puddle. The main rink has some seating and is very intimate. The seats are bleacher type but you can also stand right at the glass in designated areas or watch from above in the Center Ice Tavern. The other rink is where people play curling and broomball.
The concession stand downstairs offers some reasonably priced snacks, drinks, coffee, and hot chocolate. The place appears very clean as well.It's a very nice facility. You'll also see some Joey Logano stuff at the rink since his parents own it.
