  • We did the Western Bank Heist room with a group of 12. First of all, 12 people is definitely way too much for a room escape activity. They require you to purchase all the 12 tickets to have the room for your group which shows how the owners manipulate your will of not having random people with you (who can ruin the whole game for you for several reasons), as an advantage to generate more revenue. The decoration is fair, but I have to say that it is what the 'clue master' boasted most about the room at the end of the game. So, you can tell that they will not like the rest of this review. The riddles, which in my opinion is the key contributor to the overall quality of a room escape event, were not even close to being fair. The clues are not only irrelevant with the the flow of the story but also they are not even related with the riddles you are supposed to solve with them. I would have given -1 (minus one) star if I could rate the riddles only. The clues given by the 'clue master' and the way they are given are even worse. The clues are given as texts on a screen by the 'clue master', and there is only one screen in front of the very first door you step in. When the game progresses, it is a pain to run back to that screen (it flashes out quickly) to read the clue whenever the 'clue master' is generous enough to help you. I believe that it should not be the 'clue master's decision to give you clues if and when he thinks that you need one. You should be the one asking for clues if you feel that your team needs help, because it is your game and your experience, not an opportunity for the 'clue master' to have another 60 minutes to satisfy his own needs of wisdom. Moreover, if certain precision is required in some of the clues, then I would suggest using calibrated equipment or other creative ways of rearranging the clues so that you can attach the players more to the game. Overall, my experience was not worth the time or the money. The decoration may be fair, but it is certainly not enough to prevent it from being a poor escape room.
