  • Oh, Haven Homes... Where to start with this clusterf*ck of circus clowns that masquerade as "professional property management?" *In September, we received a letter from Haven stating that we owed money + late penalty fee for the Trash bill and that we needed to change the trash bill account to our name. Here's where they are in the wrong: 1.) The trash bill was our responsibility to pay as stated by the lease, but we can't pay it if the bill is being MAILED TO SCOTTSDALE f'ing ARIZONA and NOT OUR ADDRESS. 2.) According to Republic Services, the trash bill can only be in the Homeowners name. So unless you dumbasses are giving me a free house, I don't have to do crap there. 3.) According to my lease, which is a legal document, Section 16, Article B, stated that the landlord would retain the Trash and Sewer bill under their name. Eat it! *Their Casino Center office is closed off to the public. You have to pick up a phone in the lobby and hope that someone will come out to help you. Speaking of offices, they recently moved locations to Jones and US-95 without notifying anybody! *Their local phone number to call for anything goes out to CALIFORNIA to be answered by friendly but otherwise helpless operators. Good luck reaching anyone directly and be prepared to wait at their mercy. * Our renewal notice stated our rent of $1195 a month was going to be increased to $1270 with a 12 month lease renewal. We also got a separate notification that if we wanted to do a 24 month renewal that the first 12 months would be $1270 and that the 13th month moving forward would go up an additional 3%. If we were to go month to month that it would jump up to $1520! WTF?! Our lease states in Article 23 that the most we can be charged for a Month-to-Month holdover is 10%. $1195 plus 10% ($119.50) equals $1314.50 not $1520! Remember, these are professionals managing properties. When we threatened the Board of Realtors on them, they realized that their math was "incorrect." * The final f*ck you that Haven gave us was our refund. We had received all of our deposits minus a fee to clean the carpets (really? We didn't even wear shoes in the damn house), a fee to clean the house (once again, really? The house was left immaculate), and the icing on the cake, a fee for cleaning the clothes washer and dryer (REALLY??? WE DIDN'T EVEN USE YOUR WASHER AND DRYER! WE HAD BROUGHT OUR OWN ALONG WITH OUR OWN FRIDGE!) *After we moved out, the house got listed for rent for $1195 - FML We paid on time every month, kept the house immaculate, had a perfect final inspection and never had complaints against us but apparently they don't want good tenants in their homes. RENTER BEWARE! And Haven, I hope your next tenant in that house is an awful deadbeat who trashes it!
