I enjoyed this show. It was interesting that the ushers were paparazzi and they roam around while people are taking their seats photographing incoming and seated audience members, those photos are then immediately fed through their system and displayed on the walls on tabloid templates with funny titles. This seemed to me like it was supposed to represent Michael Jacksons life and love hate relationship with paparazzi (probably mostly hate).
The show is fairly audience interactive. I was seated in the first row of the second mezzanine so it was like box hockey seats. When the performers were incoming overhead for the stage they were often directly overhead and that made the performance feel more personal.
When the big draw - Thriller was being performed and the zombie performers danced in the isles and on the stairs they were so close I could've reached out and touched one - and one did try to scare me by jumping at me as he ran away but he only made me laugh. Still - it was loads of fun.
The large and newly renovated theater is beautiful and very nicely done.
I had a good time browsing the gift shop before the show started.
I really enjoyed myself. If you like MJ this might be the show for you - my only complaint is that the music felt a bit techno because it was redone for this show and was more edgy. Still good though.
