| - This was NEATO! I recommend. For families, for teens/adults birthdays, for date nights - this is great.
Anyone who wishes they had a secret second life in which they are Jason Bourne or Sherlock Holmes will probably enjoy this venue. Intrigue, mystery, puzzles, deception...it's all there! Our group of four sampled the Alien Room. It was really fun, and involved searching for clues, figuring out codes, playing games, rummaging through files, conducting an alien autopsy (via imagination), and investigating photos. The four of us completed the task in about 40 minutes, but we would have been faster had we known the locks were wonky and would require much finagling to unlock them. After the fact, we learned the Alien Room was the easiest... Meh.
A few negatives - The part of town is a bit iffy. When we pulled onto the street where this is located, the 4 people in my party were a bit perplexed. At first we didn't see it because it's tucked off the side of the street, but once inside the security gate (which was open during business hours) we saw the sign and it opened up our eyes, we saw the sign. If nothing else, the sign indicated we were in the proper location. The building looked a bit old and rundown, but oh well. Not everyone is perfect, nah mean??
- The AC was partly out while we were there. Lucky for us, it was operating in the Alien room where we were playing, but apparently the other rooms resembled the 5th level of Dante's Inferno. Actually, maybe it was the 4th... can't recall. The host let us know there was water free for the taking during our escape if we overheated, so that was nice. Can't put a price on water, amIright? Hopefully, they got that fixed up. Like I said, it was an older building so it wasn't a huge surprise.
- It was a little..understaffed.. There was only one employee there on the Saturday we went, and while he was pleasant and thorough, he continued to warn us that he may not able to help us when needed because he would probably be with another group. He also warned us that he may have to hustle into one or two sections of our room to re-set before the next group.. while we still in there. Soooo...... yeahhhh. Maybe that's normal? Seemed odd.
All in all, for the price, I recommend this venue. The negatives I listed were really minor as far as our experience went, and overall we all left smiling and feeling free as birds. Like happy school children. And we're all in our 30s. Plus I hate school. That just tells you how happy we were with the experience. Very. Happy. :)
