My bf and I went to Legume at around 6p.m. on a Tuesday with no reservations and didn't have to wait for a table at all. The menu was small, with 3 small plates, 4 main entrees, and 3 dessert choices. We had the hanger steak, the halibut, and the pork confit. Everything was delicious.
The halibut sat on a bed of dandelion leaves and rice, and fell apart easily. I would describe it as the best fish dish I've tasted so far in Pittsburgh. I had order the steak medium rare. It was crispy at the first layer, and chewy on the inside. Although the steak was good, I liked the risotto that came with it better. My bf also got a lemonade that he enjoyed immensely. You get seltzer water, and a small cup of lemon juice and sugar on the side to adjust the lemonade to your own taste.
An expensive meal, but delicious!
