We are almost at the end of our lease. (My wife is thrilled )I'm may be very tolerant of a lot of things so that's why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1.
You are getting your money's worth here the low rent is compensation for:
Bugs- we keep a pretty clean home, we've had a few sightings of roaches, one here and one there and some other bugs from outside, and sewer flies from the sink. But not an infestation as some of the comments would suggest.
The slow response time of the maintenance staff. I used to work in maintenance as a tech, what the complex I used to work for considered an emergency: a leaky sink or toilet with a broken water valve, these issues would have one of us technicians out that same night if it was after hours or the next day if we could stop the leak. Putting a work order for these same issues means waiting 2-3weeks, mean while we can't run the dishwasher, do dishes or rinse out a glass because it would run out of the cabinet and onto the floor. Perhaps the maintenance department is under staffed or maybe the main office doesn't send your work order until you call 3 days later and wonder why they've never shown up.
On top of these issues the rent will go up every year.... it's not worth paying more for these experiences we would leave sooner but to break the lease it's 2 months rent. Bottom line if you have no other choice of a residence you could find worse, but if you have options there is way better places to live.
