  • My husband and I went searching for a church. We visited many including Scottsdale Christian Church. After visiting a couple more we came back to SCC because we loved the Pastor, Brian, and how he presents the sermon. It's a more modern approach but always using the bible to explain and teach. If you are interested in a mega church, this is not the one for you. This has more of a home-like feel with great messages and music. I call it a secret gem because it's hidden behind an electrical unit on Hayden. I'm glad I found it. What I like the most besides the messages I get from the sermon is how everyone is so kind and welcoming. People would introduce themselves to us often and always make us feel right at home. The other churches I went to seemed either very traditional with an older crowd or had preachers with a southern accent yelling too many "Hallelujahs!" SCC didn't make me feel weird and I truly enjoy each message every Sunday. Plus the music is also modern and I know many of the songs so I can sing along when I feel like it. Overall, if you're looking for a medium size church with a very diverse congregation and awesome messages from a knowledgable pastor...this is the one for you.
