  • Great value and fun for the family! We got the chance to stay at this hotel on the weekend of June 5th. We flew in to McCarran and was surprised that Suncoast offered a shuttle service from the airport if you call ahead. We arrived 15 minutes early and in the pickup terminal the shuttle bus was waiting for me, my wife, and daughter. After we arrived I noticed that the location was way off from the strip which was great considering anything on the strip is hard to get to and we were there to attend a graduation party. The criteria used to determine we would stay is: 1. Proximity to the event we were attending. 2. Good service and Cleanliness 3. Family friendly. 4. Value Suncoast met all of these and then some! First Impression: The place is huge, and although a little dated in some parts, it was overall pleasant to be in compared to the "last stops" at PRIMM (yuck). Circulation has improved, there was adequate air flow and smoke was not a concern. The room: The room was spacious and clean. It had all the standard amenities including a mini fridge and coffee maker. Towels and sheets were clean, and there was no scent of smoke or other odors you might find in some hotels even along the strip. Con: Toilet was clogged after one flush, maintenance was up within 10 minutes and fixed it, was a really nice guy too, deserved the tip we gave. Family friendly: If you are coming here with kids, it's pretty good fun for the family, with an upstairs bowling alley complete with deli and an arcade where you can win tickets and exchange them for prizes. It was enough entertainment for hte weekend to keep my 5 year old busy along with the pool outside. Swimming pool: basic swimming pool with a cabana that provided towels and other things. There was an outside bar that I could have taken advantage of, and a gazebo\stage area. I could imagine them having entertainment out there of some kind and maybe some LED lighting to accent the place, but that's just me considering I work in the entertainment industry on the side part time. Cons: You need to get to the second floor to walk down the stairs to the outside...why? Maybe a keycard elevator would have been better to get people to the first floor rather than having to walk, but that is all trivial. Value: The price of the room was reasonable, it was sufficient and had improved air quality, you can feel it as you walk through the hallways, the air filters are on 24/7. My daughter who has allergies and asthma that is sensitive to smoke and particulates in the air was fine the whole weekend. BIG plus! Dining: Overall it was good, the cafe took forever to get breakfast ordered and delivered, but for the price and quality, it's probably better than a lot of the other cafe's on the strip that offer the same food fare. I didn't get to partake in the other restaurants, they all close so early...for Vegas? Really? A plus is that at the entrance there is a pastry bar that offers starbuck's coffee and other snacks as well as an ice cream stand - super cool for the kids! Gaming: We didn't come here to game, but was rather disappointed with the table action with Blackjack. The dealers could have been a little more friendlier, we are after all gambling for entertainment. Don't expect a lot of action, there's more older people here than any other casino I have ever been too off the strip and they do not know how to gamble at all, so don't expect to run the table. There was a lady that tried to coach my wife and she is already an avid player. The dealer did not have any sense to excuse that lady from the table so my wife could play in peace. Slot action is GOOD! Know how to play and you will recoup some of your losses at the table here. Overall: Great experience, friendly staff, family friendly and clean! Highly recommended, heck next time we might just stay here and then just go to the strip to hang out.
