  • You may as well go to Elements. "Spa", to me, indicates a luxurious experience. Starting with a shower, followed by a steam, followed by another cool rinsing shower, then the massage and of course another shower after the massage. I also enjoy the big bathroom experience. All the mirrors and the little jars of cotton balls and q-tips and lotions. The JW Marriot makes little sachets for you to take home. This "spa" has you change your clothes, literally, in a small hallway. You put your stuff in totes to take with you to your room. Then you wait in a small room. Still no toilet at this point. Your room has a shower and a tub, but they are not meant to be used. I was discouraged from using one after the service because there "might be a service just after mine." The bathroom is WAY down the hall and like the kind you'd find at a doctors office. Single toilet. Single sink. No counter. Unremarkable. My particular room had a fan blowing so loudly that I couldn't hear the music. It reminded me of the swamp cooler we grew up with in the 70's, Loud! Sure I paid Groupon prices for this Spa experience. But I've had better massages at a chiropractor's office. I asked her once to go deeper. She didn't. I didn't ask again. Effleurage is what I got. I mentioned missing the steam when I checked out, they advised that it was in the basement, and out of service and that the spa only rents the ground floor; To rent the basement would cost a lot more money. TMI. But if you're going to tell me all of that, put it on your website that you are just a massage joint, no steam, no shower. Meh!
