  • There are larger zoos, but there are few that can provide the experiences of the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium. We had a blast bringing our grandson to an area where he could pet deer and goats, and over near the reptile area there were workers holding little critters (including a hedgehog) that were cute as can be. We loved the aquarium, which was larger than we expected and featured many large sharks. In fact, the aquarium is the main attraction and can hold its own with any that we've seen around the country. Visiting the zoo was a fantastic experience, and we'll definitely go again when we're in Pittsburgh!
