UPDATE TO MY EARLIER REVIEW: Within minutes of posting my review I received a call from the owner, Jeffrey Lawson. He is the quintessential business person. I can see why the business has a FIVE Star Yelp review overall. OOPS ON MY PART FOR SOME OF THE MISUNDERSTANDING. I hadn't listened carefully enough when the filters were changed on my reverse osmosis. The fifth filter and heart of the system was a little more costly than the typical four I had been replacing in previous years. The tech did say to me that the fifth filter needed to be changed every ten years or so and I blanked that part. Hence the difference in cost. On the plus side for me Jeff pointed out that the pricing had not taken into consideration the other work I had done while the tech was here and he processed a credit to my Visa. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you to Lawson Family Plumbing. Just as Jeff said to me and by the way his tech told me this when he was in my home. "The owner cares about the customer and wants to hear their feedback".
Lawson Family Plumbing was in my house on July 27th. This should have been a five star review except for one issue. I needed some work done on toilet parts and that work was done very well. The price felt right and so far no issues with any of the toilets.
Unfortunately they earned the three star review due to pricing on the Reverse Osmosis filter replacement. In the last ten years I have never paid more than $100 to have these filters replaced. Lawson's price was a whopping $275. I guess I should say shame on me for agreeing to have the work done. But I did and won't make that mistake again.
I do love these businesses that have great reviews as Lawson does. My son owns a local service business and hovers between 4 1/2 stars and five stars on Yelp. I know how hard it is to earn this kind of rating from your customers.
