rev:text	RUN. Do Not go here. Had an outpatient surgery on Nov 9th 2017 on my foot and lower leg. In the outpatient surgery area it took almost an hour to get my info inputted by a nurse that was training. This gave me a long time to notice that no one was washing or sanitizing their hands. one Nurse went in the bathroom and came out talking on her phone. I was told to get my gown on in the bathroom while they prepared my bed. (so gross) There were numerous issues with employees on their phones. Once I was given a bed, the nurse tried to start the IV. Had issues so she took her glove off to try and stop my vein from rolling. Once she got it in I was than rolled into another room closer to the operating room. Had a full view of the hall. All male nurses at this point. Most on their phones. No washing or hand sanitizing was seen by me as people came in and out. Also one other patient was rolled out of surgery into this room. Nurse went from her bed to mine. NO HAND SANITIZER AGAIN. I should have walked out at that point but wanted to get this surgery over with. BIG MISTAKE. Was brought into the OR and I only saw male nurses. (I'm female) I have had numerous surgeries and have always had at least 1 female in the OR. When surgery was over and I was preparing to leave I didn't receive a complete discharge packet. Apparently the Dr's office should have provided it but they forgot. Finally got to leave. Do to legal guidelines I have to be careful how I write the rest of this but I'm sure you can read between the lines and come up with what happened. On Nov 20th I went to the Dr's office to get my stitches out. When the bandages came off horror struck. My foot was infected and the stitches were had to find because my foot had skin falling off when touched. ( I can't seem to included a photo from that day.) My Dr sent me immediately to a Infectious Disease Dr. The CIDS Dr took a culture of the wound so we could figure out what it was infected with. I ended up at the ER (not North Vista) on the 24th (thanksgiving) because the burning pain was horrible. Had a CT and was put on IV antibiotics and was there for hours. Nov 27th finally got the culture back on what the infection was.Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterobacter cloacae complex. Look them up and tell me how you think I contracted these. ( legal issues so don't want to put it in writing. Ended up having Home health and being on IV antibiotic for 2 weeks. PICC line very painful and lost a ton of hair from the antibiotics.
