  • I have to admit. I am lover of nature and art and I don't always know to how to appreciate those magnificent man-made structures... such as the Hoover Dam. It is an engineering marvel and it was really impressive to look at but didn't get me all that excited. Especially not under those unforgiving 100F+ weather. The history of the dam was interesting but I couldn't decide if the tour was really worth the price tag. It is close enough to Vegas and on the way to Grand Canyon so it was a logical choice to stop at this national landmark. Just keep in mind you could park at a free parking lot and skip the tour to save some money and time.
