| - As an RN I have been looking for a PCP for many years. One would think that I should be able to find, be referred to, even know one. But all of the great providers have gone to becoming hospitalists. Private practice doesn't pay. I have worked with Dr. Tokatlian and found him to be extremely compassionate but didn't want to travel to Ahwahtukee. I tried the Gilbert office and it didn't work out and sent the following Denial letter for the open position I had for a PCP:
Position: Primary Care Physician (Do Not Reply)
Dear Dr. Nutakki,
Thank you for taking the time we me on Friday. Unfortunately, I will not be able to consider you for the position as my Primary Care Physician. Although your skills and qualifications are impressive, I have decided to go with another Primary Care Provider-myself. Finding a scarcity of compassionate, caring, primary care providers I have decided to suspend my search. I had only hoped that with the association with Dr. Tokatlian whom I have the greatest respect for having worked with at Maryvale hospital in the ICU, watching him stay at the bedside of patient's that he did not have to stay with, that the entire practice would have shared his compassion and passion for people.
While it is important to teach people about allergies and how to take medication, equally important is assessing their knowledge of what they already know about it. The time spent was unproductive as I know everything you said by heart, I myself have repeated while teaching others but with more compassion and kindness. I felt your indignation, I heard your disdain for the smell of the paper work I brought with me. It caused me to distrust you and to decline you as a Primary Care Physician for me. So, you will not be getting any lab work back, I will not be filling any medication prescriptions you filled out.
In the future please take time to get to know people before you bluntly insult and humiliate them.
Best Regards,
