  • After trying acai bowls in LA two years ago, my sister and I have been on the search for this delicious snack in the area. Lo and behold, we found this place and we're sad to say we're disappointed. We got the rainbow bowl and while the presentation is very nice and the fruits are fresh, the acai was almost non-existent. You're basically paying for an overpriced fruit cup with a smidge of acai in it. In comparison, similar sized acai bowls we got in LA were the same price as Rico but with 20x more acai (imagine Rico's bowls half filled with acai instead of the one millimeter layer they give you). Another thing we weren't expecting was the icy, clumpy texture. From other establishments we've tried, the acai has always been well blended. It's nice Charlotte finally has an acai establishment but it could be much better.
