| - This establishment is one of my very favorite places here in Pittsburgh. I've been here many times over the years, mostly for ballet shows, but I've enjoyed several different types of entertainment here, including Anthony Bourdain and Alton Brown shows recently. I'm looking forward to Joe Bonamassa in the Spring as my first rock concert here, in the tradition of many different musicians having played here over the years (wish I had seen Bob Marley here for his last show, back when it was the Stanley Theater...)
What's always impressed me is the vintage feel of the Theater, which adds an intangible sense of nostalgia and sophistication to these performances, especially the ballet performances. I like how they have made arrangements for refreshments to be allowed inside the theater while also taking steps to keep the seats and floors protected (safety cups, less messy snacks) as a nod to those of us who like those sorts of things, especially with children.
The staff are generally friendly and helpful, and we always enjoy coming here greatly, especially because there is ample parking at the Cultural District's parking deck across the street and that there are so many great restaurants in close proximity to make it a nice outing for all! Will definitely be back, and soon!
