| - OK. Finally able to leave a review for this service! A few months back, I tried this meal prep service for the first time. I read the reviews (mostly not so good back in the day), but i thought, you know what, how bad can it be! I'll figure that out for myself. So I dived head first into the full month meal delivery. Couple days go by, Got my meals. HMMMM, doesn't get better than this! I don't have to spend time cooking or shopping, meals delivered to my door twice a week, food tastes AWESOME. I was blown away.
HOWEVER, about a week or two in, something changed. Normally i'd get a text from FitPrep stating my meals would be delivered within a certain time frame (usually some reasonable time between 4 and 7) , but i started not getting these texts. Messages to customer service were no use, And I'd be woken by a knock on my door 10-11 pm (on a couple of occasions) !! from FitPrep , with my meals. Well great! I'm glad they got here I guess, but communication was severely lacking, and I was a little worried this work ethic would find its way into the food prep... And it did :( The vegetable variety lessened, the seasoning and taste of the meat disappeared, I even ended up throwing a lot of my meals away as they were almost unappetizing . I own my own business, and I understand what the stress of many customers puts on a business, and I can tell it was affecting this one. Sadly, I had to search for other options, as the cost was outweighing the quality by the time my month was up..
FAST FORWARD to RECENT: Still on the search for a solid meal prep service , and thought WHY NOT, lets see if FitPrep has listened to its customers and changed their ways. Newly designed website, personal messages from owner left on yelp comments, new rewards system set up. Hmmm. lets TRY THIS AGAIN. And I'll tell you what, THIS IS HOW YOU DO BUSINESS. Now I get a text stating my meals will be delivered between 4-7. They show up at 5, not 11pm. The food has changed significantly (for the better). the meat is Seasoned! The variety in the packages is Spot On. And best of all, it tastes GREAT.
BIG IMPROVEMENT FROM THESE GUYS. If you're on the fence about forking over cash for a meal prep service, don't be. I spent the same amount (actually more) trying to buy groceries myself, that just turned into fast food binges from not having any food ready to eat. not to mention the wasted food and cooking time! Try the week package and see for yourself that it doesn't get better than this. All at a super competitive price/meal ratio compared to the other services around.
