  • Canaletto Ristorante The Venetian Made reservations on OpenTable. com. We dined early because we were going to see some shows. We were seated promptly at an outside table on the plaza. Our waiter Alexande was GREAT. He was very attentive, personable, gave some great recommendations and overall one of the best waiters I have had. We ordered a cheese plate. Good selection of cheeses, with grapes, pears and jalapeño jelly. Just enough for the two of us. I ordered the Osso Bucco with risotto and we also ordered the tagliatelle with pork. The osso bucco was very tender and had good flavor. I would have liked a little more flavor in the sauce but overall it was good. The risotto was excellent. It was saffron and served properly. The tagliatelle was good. Excellent flavors. Good size portions for each serving. Different breads served with olive oil. All were fresh. This restaurant is at the Venetian but is run by the IL Fornailo restaurant chain. I think this is a cut above the basic restaurant chain in service and product. We will be back. This isn't a cheap restaurant at 40.00 pp really not that bad for the quality.
