| - I walked into Sugar 44 New Year's Eve 2017 around midnight, expecting the place to be fairly lively seeing as how they have it advertised as their annual New Year's party on the marquee out front. Upon entering, I immediately noticed it was dead as I greeted the cashier, who waved me in, no cover. I walked up to the bar, ordered a Long Island for $10, and went to look for a seat by the tiny stage. This place is very small and definitely has a divey, hole in the wall feel to it. One side of the stage was completely open except for one other guy sitting there but all of the open seats had empty/half empty drinks sitting in front of them, and one even had a used thong laying on the seat. So I grabbed a different seat and pushed the empty drinks to the side. The talent was definitely sub par. In fact, during the thirty minutes I was there, I only saw three girls on the floor, none of which interested me, so I finished my drink and got the hell out of there.
