My flight from Newark to Toronto was cancelled this weekend due to "bad weather" - this is what the rep told me as the sun was shining through the windows at us. The customer service reps at the desk in Newark were horrible. They lied to us and were not helpful in any way. We were flying out Friday evening and returning Monday morning. When our flight was cancelled we were told the Saturday morning flight created to accommodate cancelled flight customers was already booked and the earliest we could fly was Sunday morning. When I could not reach the service center by phone, the customer service rep suggested I call in the middle of the night when no one else is calling. When I requested to be booked to another airline the staff laughed at me. I also had to pay for myself to get home from the airport and was mocked when I asked how I can get reimbursed for having to get home. The staff is unprofessional and useless and I would never want any friend of mine to fly with such a useless airline.
