  • One of my friends got a box of six Desmond and Beatrice cupcakes delivered to my office for Christmas. I was super stoked when I opened the box to find six gorgeously decorated cupcakes! I loved the different flavour combinations (cookies and cream, cookie dough topped with a mini chocolate chip cookie, red velvet, very vanilla, double chocolate and cinnamon sugar). The cake had a delicate crumb and the icing was not too sweet. It really was the best Christmas present ever (thanks Katie!) and made my coworkers very envious. This bakery also happens to be in the same building as my climbing gym, so sometimes I run to the bakery and grab a cookie before a workout. They have a small number of cookies, cupcakes and squares available for walk-in customers. Their cookies are serious 4 inch monsters topped with liberal amounts of mix-ins. My favourite one so far is the monster covered in mini-eggs with chocolate chunks in the batter. Cookies and cream was pretty tasty too. I'll definitely be back to try the bars, along with more cookies and cupcakes!
