As many others have, I got dinged by a rock driving down I-10. Just a small chip, but Phoenix 118 degree days make small chips big cracks with time.
I'm one of those customers that knows enough to be dangerous. I've watched multiple YouTube videos about how to repair a windshield chip. That makes me an armchair expert.
A previous chip repair at a car wash was very unsatisfactory. The tiny cracks radiating from the chips were not fully filled with resin and are clearly visible - to me.
Found Reliable Auto Glass office was nearby. Called and was lucky to catch a glass tech in the shop since they are a mobile service. Drove to the office and got the chip filled.
The repair looks just like the factory demonstrations on YouTube. Very nice work. Also since I'm paying cash and went to the office, they gave me a discount.
Will be taking my wife's car to them for a couple of chip repairs. Thanks for a correctly done repair!
